T20B Super Cub 1967-69
It was November 1966 and just over a year had passed since the announcement of[the new T20B Bantam Cub. Now a second model was to be produced, a Super Cub.
Engine-wise the new model was identical the Bantam Cub, although frame-wise it utilised the D10 Bantam frame modified in the same way as the D7 one had been. The main difference being the use of full width front and rear wheel hubs though with the same brake linings as the Bantam Cub.

Not produced as a replacement model, both Bantam Cub variations ran together. The first year of the Super Cub it was in Bushfire Red, becoming Firecracker Red for 168/69. Its D10 petrol tank being smaller, part chromed and using a badge strangely reminiscent of the original T15 Terriers. Same as the Bantam Cub it was a good machine, having the final development of the Cub engine in a chassis that handled really well, although with styling that was very different to that of the original Tiger Cub models. |
